New Kid

Title: New Kid

Summary: New Kid is about a 7th grader named Jordan Banks, he wanted to go to an art school but his parents made him go to a private school which is known for academics. He turns out to be few of the kids of color in his class. He is living in two worlds, Washington Heights and Riverdale, and he is having a hard time to fit in both. He draws his life and the way he views it, and he has to figure out how to keep his neighbourhood friends and school ones too.

I found this book because it was on the Rebecca Caudill Nominees 2021 List, which is given to an author most voted by grade 4 - 8th in Illinois schools.

This book is really good, and I can relate to it because I'm in 7th grade as well. :)
