Hey Everyone,
If you don't know this yet, then I'll let you know, I LOVE historical fiction a lot. Especially when it's about Queen Elizabeth the 1. I have no idea WHY all I know is that I love reading historical fiction books about her. Maybe it has something to do with the Tudors? I don't know. Here's a very nice summary I think you'll like about the book.
In the beginning of the book her father died, then her brother came to the throne, then she was accused of treason, then Edward's uncles are arrested in the Tower Of London. The Robert Dudley's dad becomes the lord admiral, then they are trying to keep the throne away from Mary (Elizabeth's sister) However Mary becomes Queen. She then gets married to Philip of Spain. She also gave a rosary to Elizabeth too. And everyone in England who is of english blood will hate him, because he is of spaniard blood. What happens next, I do know, I read this book a lot of times. :) Now, Elizabeth is being asked to get married. And I have a question about why in the world does she need to get married? She doesn't want to. Some Earl from Spain came to get her as his wife. He went back to Spain disappointed he didn't see her. She was imprisoned during that time. Her sister now allowed her back at court for New Year's Eve. I wonder what would it be like to be there during her time. I also wonder what did it look like. The only thing they have from back then is history books & paintings. But then again maybe not, lots of people were dying being they weren't followers of certain religion. Did you know that Elizabeth is pretending though to be one? I guess she's pretending because she wants to be queen really badly, but the only way she can be is if she survives. :) All Hail Queen Elizabeth! She's finally queen, her sister just died. England flourished under her reign. English ships defeated the Spanish Armada, Francis Drake & Walter Raleigh explored and colonized the new world. And there was William Shakespeare. Man! Queen Elizabeth had a lot of good things happening during her reign.
Now that is a perfect and complete summary about the book. It doesn't even need anything else. It's perfect! And this post is longer than 2 minutes. Otherwise usually it's only a minute long read. Here's a pic of the book!
